Wall Hanging - Beard Pullers
These Beardpullers are from the Book of Kells, 6th century AD.
Beardpullers are said to represent good humour, ‘beard-pulling’ being a forerunner for the term ‘leg-pulling’. There are several other interpretations of their significance; however, the beard itself is a Celtic symbol of manhood and virility. We have taken great care in replicating these fabulous Celtic designs on our batik wall hangings ready to adorn your home.
